Sony Sinister Six Spider-Man

Did Madame Web kill Sony’s live-action Spider-Man plans? A new rumor suggests the company plans to pivot with a Sinister Six animated movie.

Sony Pictures has been trying to make a Spider-Man villain universe work for a decade, stemming all the way back to when Andrew Garfield was still Spider-Man. Spider-Man’s villains aren’t the only characters getting a new spotlight. The scooper also revealed that a female-led project is in the works alongside the Sinister Six animated movie, though it’s unclear which hero Sony Pictures could be going with.
