The polarizing new crew will return!

The Book of Boba Fett actress Sophie Thatcher says that Drash and the rest of the biker gang will stay around.

The third episode of the new Star Wars series The Book of Boba Fett featured a hover-biker gang that featured an aesthetic that was unique to the iconic galaxy far, far away. Like most recent new entries in Star Wars, the introduction of Drash (Sophie Thatcher) and the rest of the biker gang received a polarized reception from viewers, with some claiming that the aesthetic doesn’t fit with the franchise.

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Sophie Thatcher discussed shooting the chase sequence with Lucasfilm’s Volume technology for the newest episode of The Book of Boba Fett. She teased that there is more to come for Drash and the rest of the gang:

“Most of it was on the backlot. I have something else in the Volume, but I also don’t know how much I can say. You can assume my character might be in more stuff. Yeah, I don’t disappear. (Laughs.) I don’t even know if I’m allowed to say that.”

While Star Wars fans may continue to debate the merits of certain new additions to the franchise, it is only worth it that we see some interesting new aesthetics applied to the galaxy far, far away. To bring such a colorful group of characters like Drash and the rest of the gang in The Book of Boba Fett is yet another example of bringing more colorful and creative risks that could amplify the franchise even further to more unique imagery.
