‘Spider-Man 4’: Tom Holland Wants To Mentor Miles Morales

Will Miles and Peter unite!?

Tom Holland Spider-Man 4 Miles Morales Across the Spider-Verse

During recent interviews for his newest project The Crowded Room, Tom Holland opened up about what he wants to see from Spider-Man 4 if it ends up getting made and his hopes to mentor Miles Morales.

The fate of Spider-Man 4 was up in the air for some time following the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home. Tom Holland said he’d like to step away from acting for a while to focus on his family, and Sony seemed to be charging full swing ahead with their own universe without him. Marvel Studios didn’t even have the film on its public slate. Luckily for fans, Holland did recently confirm the sequel was in development before the WGA strike.

Despite these recent turns of events, Tom Holland still plays coy on if Spider-Man 4 will see the light of day. According to the actor, he’ll only return to collaborate with Sony and Marvel Studios if the sequel is able to top Spider-Man: No Way Home:

“Should we find a way to tell his story and do justice to him, we will do so.” Holland tells Kevin Polowy. “But if we can’t find a way to do that, if we can’t find a way to compete with the third one, he’ll swing off into the sunset.”

While Tom Holland declined to share what he would want to see from Spider-Man 4 in that interview, in a seperate talk he revealed that he would live to expand the web of Marvel Studios even further by bringing Sony’s Miles Morales to life in his films, stating that he’d love to mentor the character:

“I would be honored to bring Miles Morales into the live action world.” Holland explains to Inverse. “How we do that, I don’t know, but given the opportunity, I would jump at it.”

Bringing Miles Morales into the main canon of Marvel’s Spider-Man 4 would be a delight for many fans. However, it may be a double-edged sword, as it would likely mean the end of Tom Holland’s time as Peter Parker if the film followed the comics. Though given Sony has recently announced a live-action Miles Morales film is in production, it may not be long until the two share the silver screen.

What’s next for Spider-Man?

What does the future hold for Tom Holland’s Peter Parker? The success of Spider-Man: No Way Home has opened up a world of possibilities for the fan-favorite Marvel character. The movie ends with Peter erasing himself from the memories of his loved ones in order to protect them from his enemies. This sets up an interesting dynamic for future Spider-Man movies, as Peter will have to navigate a world in which he is not known as Spider-Man.

Rumor has it that Tom Holland has signed on for multiple Marvel Cinematic Universe appearances after Spider-Man: No Way Home. The future of the Spider-Man series is currently unclear, but it is likely that Marvel will continue to explore the multiverse concept that was introduced in No Way Home.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is now available to own on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray, Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital HD. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding Spider-Man’s Marvel Cinematic Universe future and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
