Promotional artwork featured on new merchandise for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse has offered a first look at Spider-Punk’s redesign for the animated Marvel sequel.
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will pick up where 2018’s Into the Spider-Verse left off, finding Miles Morales, Gwen Stacy and Oscar Isaac’s Spider-Man 2099 joining a host of other Spider-People on a new multiversal adventure. The film will feature Jason Schwartzman as the villain the Spot.
Previous tie-in toys had confirmed that the anarchic Spider-Punk would be one of the new heroes joining Miles’ team this time around, but until now, no images of the hero had been seen.
Spider-Punk Rocks The Spider-Verse
New artwork featured on a Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse jigsaw puzzle shows Spider-Punk rocking out with an electric guitar slung over the back of his leather vest.

In the comics, Spider-Punk is the Hobie Brown of Earth-138 (on Earth-616, Hobie was the original Prowler). This Spider-Man stood up to the state, fighting for freedom against the oppression wrought by his Earth’s President Norman Osborn.
Interestingly, the Across the Spider-Verse version of Spider-Punk sports a Union Jack badge, possibly suggesting he will be British in the movie, unlike his comic book counterpart. It’s also possible this is a nod to classic punk band, the Sex Pistols, whose album God Save The Queen featured the Union Jack on its cover.
Spider-Punk will be joining the Scarlet Spider and Cyborg Spider-Woman in the Into the Spider-Verse sequel as they team up with Miles, Gwen and Miguel O’Hara – Oscar Isaac’s Spider-Man of 2099 – to take on the reality-hopping Spot.
Here is the synopsis for the highly-anticipated Spider-Verse sequel:
Miles Morales returns for the next chapter of the Oscar®-winning Spider-Verse saga, an epic adventure that will transport Brooklyn’s full-time, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man across the Multiverse to join forces with Gwen Stacy and a new team of Spider-People to face off with a villain more powerful than anything they have ever encountered.
Directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, and Justin K. Thompson from a screenplay written by Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Dave Callaham, the film features the voices of Shameik Moore, Hailee Steinfeld, Jake Johnson, Oscar Isaac, and Issa Rae.
Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse will hit theaters on June 2, 2023. Stay tuned for all the latest news surrounding the film, and subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
