One of the biggest mysteries in the modern MCU is what Marvel was thinking bringing Harry Styles in to play Eros. But if there’s a second behind that, it’s trying to figure out who Sadie Sink is playing in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Despite being one of the film’s biggest stars, her role has been kept under a tight lock and key, with the rumor mill being less than helpful.
Perhaps the most popular rumor was that Sadie Sink would be taking on the role of the MCU’s Jean Grey. It was a rumor popular enough for her former Stranger Things co-star to comment on it. However, as the months went on, other possibilities cropped up about who she may be playing in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, such as Shathra or The Punisher’s sidekick.

Yet it seems Jean Grey may once more be the frontrunner for Sadie Sink’s role in the MCU. A rumor from MyTimeToShineHello reveals that the actress will be wearing “green and yellow” in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and will apparently have “similar powers” to the iconic mutant.
Of course, this rumor doesn’t completely guarantee that Sadie Sink will be playing Jean Grey in the MCU. It’s possible that she could have all these traits in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and still appear as a character such as Shathra- whose own powers have been vast in the comics. Though, with a trailer likely due out at the Super Bowl, it potentially won’t be long until fans see the truth.
