‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ Adds Jona Xiao

It’s only been two weeks since the last addition, but Variety has revealed that Halt and Catch Fire actress Jona Xiao has joined the massive cast of Marvel and Sony’s Spider-Man: Homecoming. As per usual, there’s no word on who she will play.

The actress joins Tom Holland, Robert Downey Jr., Michael Keaton, Marisa Tomei, Zendaya, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Michael Barbieri, Abraham Attah, Angourie Rice, Kenneth Choi, Donald Glover, Martin Starr, Hannibal Buress, Logan Marshall-Green, Michael Chernus, Bokeem Woodbine and many more. The project is currently filming in Atlanta, Georgia, under the direction of Jon Watts.

While the identity of Xiao’s character is a mystery, we recently learned a ton of new details about a number of roles in the movie. Thanks to a leaked call sheet (which you can find here), we know that Herman Schultz a.k.a. the Shocker will be appearing in the movie along with many other classic Spider-Man characters. It was also recently revealed that Zendaya will be playing Peter Parker’s longtime love interest Mary Jane Watson.

Spider-Man: Homecoming swings into theaters on July 7, 2017. Are you excited?
