‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ Concept Art Reveals A Terrifying Look At The Lizard

Brand new concept art from Spider-Man: No Way Home reveals a terrifying alternate look at Rhys Ifans’ Lizard.

Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures managed to do the impossible by bringing in several villains from previous Spidey films and reintroducing them in Spider-Man: No Way Home. One of the highest-grossing films of all time, Tom Holand’s third outing as the webhead managed to humanize each of its villains, redeeming them for good. Before the various Peter Parkers absolved them of their sins, the Sinister Five were more nefarious than ever. The new reality they had been folded into presented a variety of opportunities to create chaos all across the board.

While some of the villains like Green Goblin and Electro received shockingly different looks than their previous appearances, Rhys Ifans’ Lizard pretty much stayed the same as he did in The Amazing Spider-Man. At one point in time, discussions were had to create a more terrifying look for the character that saw him rocking a lab coat and purple pants.

Those plans were ultimately scrapped to create a more homogenous look that complimented the character’s first appearance. Taking to Instagram, Visual Development Supervisor at Marvel Studios Ian Joyner shared an alternate look at the Lizard that’s not only more terrifying but far more interesting than the final version we got!
