‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ Concept Art Shows Alternate Look At Jamie Foxx’s Electro

Yo, Sparkles!

Jamie Foxx Electro Spider-Man No Way Home

New concept art from Spider-Man: No Way Home shows an alternate look at Jamie Foxx’s Electro.

Spider-Man: No Way Home continues to deliver the goods! The film not only brought back previous generations of Peter Parker but also classic villains who graced the silver screen. Not only did No Way Home add more depth to some of our favorite bad guys, redeeming them and making them better, but it also managed to reinvent them. Case in point: Jamie Foxx’s bumbling and awkward Max-turned-blue Electro now became a suave supervillain.

Jamie Foxx’s character was reinvented both socially and physically which led to highly positive results from audiences. Spider-Man: No Way Home notably ditched the character’s blue design in favor of a more realistic take on a man who can sparkle. The film briefly showed Electro rocking a comic-accurate look when he sparked up but new concept art shows an alternate look that would have pleased hardcore comic book fans.

Artist Christain Cordella took to social media to share concept art he crafted for Jamie Foxx’s Electro that blended the character’s comic book look and the film’s grounded take. This resulted in a look that looks far more militarized but still retains the character’s signature yellow look. Honestly, it’s a fantastic look and it would have been a great idea to see this on the big screen. But then again, it’s not Stark Tech™.

Here is the synopsis for Tom Holland‘s latest Spidey entry:

“For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero’s identity is revealed, bringing his Super Hero responsibilities into conflict with his normal life and putting those he cares about most at risk. When he enlists Doctor Strange’s help to restore his secret, the spell tears a hole in their world, releasing the most powerful villains who’ve ever fought a Spider-Man in any universe. Now, Peter will have to overcome his greatest challenge yet, which will not only forever alter his own future but the future of the Multiverse.”
