Tom Holland’s Spider-Man: No Way Home just crossed $1.7 billion in worldwide box office receipts.

Over a month after its release, Spider-Man: No Way Home continues to break records and cross milestones at the worldwide box office. The film, which stars Tom Holland in the titular role just crossed roughly $1.003 billion at the international box office, bringing the worldwide cumulative total to $1.74 billion as of Sunday January 30, 2022.

With this new milestone crossed, Tom Holland’s Spider-Man: No Way Home is the 10th film to make over $1 billion in international numbers alone. What makes the milestone all-the-more stunning is that the film is achieving such impressive numbers without a release in China. The film has also become the United Kingdom’s highest-grossing comic book film of all-time, beating out Avengers: Endgame.

As it currently stands, the film is currently the sixth highest-grossing film of all-time at the worldwide box office. The Tom Holland film surpassed Jurassic World, and stands behind Avengers: Infinity War, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Titanic, Avengers: Endgame and the current reigning champion Avatar.

Here is the synopsis for Tom Holland‘s film:

“For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero’s identity is revealed, bringing his Super Hero responsibilities into conflict with his normal life and putting those he cares about most at risk. When he enlists Doctor Strange’s help to restore his secret, the spell tears a hole in their world, releasing the most powerful villains who’ve ever fought a Spider-Man in any universe. Now, Peter will have to overcome his greatest challenge yet, which will not only forever alter his own future but the future of the Multiverse.”

Directed by Jon Watts from a script written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, No Way Home stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Tony Revolori, Martin Starr, J.B. Smoove, Marisa Tomei, Jon Favreau, Benedict Wong, Benedict Cumberbatch, Willem Dafoe, Alfred Molina, and Jamie Foxx, with Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire.
