An exclusive IMAX poster for Uncharted finds Tom Holland’s Nathan Drake gripping for his life.

Hot off of the record-breaking success of Spider-Man: No Way Home, Tom Holland is stepping into yet another popular Sony character in Nathan Drake with Uncharted hitting theaters in February. The film, which is an adaptation of the popular PlayStation video game series of the same name had been in Development Hell for years, with Mark Wahlberg (who plays Sully) having been previously attached to play Nathan Drake himself.

With the film weeks away from its premiere, a brand new IMAX poster for Uncharted was revealed, featuring Tom Holland’s Nathan Drake in one of the more exciting set pieces from the trailer, in which we see Nathan Drake clinging for dear life as he is dislodged from an airplane in the sky. Although he is not wearing his Spider-Man suit this time around, it’s fun to see Tom Holland in yet another action-packed aerial sequence:

Given the globetrotting scope of the Uncharted series, it will be fun to see certain action sequences projected onto massive IMAX screens. For many fans that had the chance to see the trailer for the film attached to Spider-Man: No Way Home when presented in IMAX, this sequence in the air adds a level of vertigo for not just Tom Holland’s Nathan Drake, but for the audiences watching it in the IMAX theater. Here’s hoping the film captures the same adventurous spirit as the beloved video game series does.

Here is the synopsis for Tom Holland’s Uncharted:

“Uncharted introduces audiences to street-smart Nathan Drake (Tom Holland) and showcases his first treasure-hunting adventure with wisecracking partner Victor ‘Sully’ Sullivan (Mark Wahlberg). Inspired by the acclaimed video game series, this action-adventure epic spans the globe and follows Nate and Sully as they embark on the dangerous pursuit of ‘the greatest treasure never found’ while also tracking clues that may lead to Nate’s long-lost brother.”

Directed by Reuben Fleischer from a script written by Art Marcum & Matt Holloway and Rafe Judkins, Uncharted is being produced by Sony PlayStation Productions, with Asad Qizilbash and Carter Swan producing alongside Charles Roven, Avi Arad, Alex Gartner, and Ari Arad.

Uncharted will be released in theaters and IMAX on February 18th, 2022. Stay tuned for all the latest news on the upcoming film and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
