Tom Holland’s upcoming Uncharted film has received an ensemble poster.
After years of being stuck in development hell for over a decade, Sony Pictures’ adaptation of Uncharted is finally set to hit cinemas. With Tom Holland set to star as the treasure hunter Nathan Drake, the film is expected to be the first in what is hopefully a bonafide franchise for Sony and PlayStation.
With the film set to release later next month, a brand poster featuring the various cast members has been released. While Tom Holland dominates the poster, beside him is Mark Wahlberg’s Sully, who operates as partner-in-crime/surrogate parental figure. Joining them on their adventure is Sophia Ali’s Chloe Frazer, another treasure hunter who may just fall for Nathan Drake’s charm. Our heroic trio is then juxtaposed with the villains: Antonio Banderas and Tati Gabrielle.
Details are slim on Banderas’ Moncada though it is known that his family has been searching for the same treasure that Nate is after. Tati Gabrielle’s Braddock will be working alongside Banderas’ villain. Below our heroes and villains, various mercenaries are seen on boats, likely approaching the island where the treasure is housed.
Here is the synopsis for Uncharted:
“Uncharted introduces audiences to street-smart Nathan Drake (Tom Holland) and showcases his first treasure-hunting adventure with wisecracking partner Victor ‘Sully’ Sullivan (Mark Wahlberg). Inspired by the acclaimed video game series, this action-adventure epic spans the globe and follows Nate and Sully as they embark on the dangerous pursuit of ‘the greatest treasure never found’ while also tracking clues that may lead to Nate’s long-lost brother.”
Directed by Reuben Fleischer from a script written by Art Marcum & Matt Holloway and Rafe Judkins, Uncharted is being produced by Sony PlayStation Productions, with Asad Qizilbash and Carter Swan producing alongside Charles Roven, Avi Arad, Alex Gartner, and Ari Arad.
Uncharted will be released in theaters on February 18th, 2022. Stay tuned for all the latest news on the upcoming film and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
