Spider-Man: No Way Home finally reintroduced a long-awaited Marvel hero.

Spoilers ahead for Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Can you believe it? After months of speculation and theorizing, Spider-Man: No Way Home is finally out. Yes, it’s out! The highly-anticipated Spidey threequel dominated the online conversation for weeks thanks to rumors that suggested a medley of cameos would be featured in the film. While the trailers confirmed that previous Spider-Man villains like Green Goblin and Doctor Octopus would return, the promos played coy when it came to confirming if a key Marvel hero would return.

Prior to the film’s release, rumors suggested that Charlie Cox would reprise his role as Matt Murdock for the Spider-Man film. Cox and the rest of the film’s cast vehemently denied the rumors until Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige confirmed that should Daredevil be brought into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the role would be played by none other than Cox.

Now that the film is finally out, fans can officially rejoice knowing that Daredevil is fully integrated into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

With Peter Parker’s identity revealed as Spider-Man, a case is quickly commissioned against the high schooler as well as his friends and family. Instead of hurling a legal drama at us, Marvel Studios brought Charlie Cox back in as ace lawyer Matt Murdock, who springs onto the scene to help Peter. At the Parker apartment, Cox’s Murdock tells Peter, Aunt May, and Happy Hogan that the case against the youngster is pretty much done and that he shouldn’t have anything to worry about. How? Because he says he’s a very good lawyer. Then, a brick with the note “Mysterio was right” is hurled through the apartment. Murdock quickly catches the brick and reiterates that’s he’s a very good lawyer, leaving Peter and the like suspicious.

Here is the synopsis for Spider-Man: No Way Home:

“For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero’s identity is revealed, bringing his Super Hero responsibilities into conflict with his normal life and putting those he cares about most at risk. When he enlists Doctor Strange’s help to restore his secret, the spell tears a hole in their world, releasing the most powerful villains who’ve ever fought a Spider-Man in any universe. Now, Peter will have to overcome his greatest challenge yet, which will not only forever alter his own future but the future of the Multiverse.”

Directed by Jon Watts from a script written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, No Way Home stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Tony Revolori, Martin Starr, J.B. Smoove, Marisa Tomei, Jon Favreau, Benedict Wong, Benedict Cumberbatch, Willem Dafoe, Alfred Molina, and Jamie Foxx, with Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield heavily rumored to appear.
