Previously, Stan Lee has said that his favorite Marvel cameo is his appearance in Avengers: Age of Ultron, where he plays a veteran done in by some of Thorโs Asgardian alcohol. The reason the cameo is his favoriteย is simply because he had some extraย screen time.
Speaking to CinemaBlend, Lee spokeย about that particular cameo and whatย some of his big screen ambitions are in the future.
The thing I loved about that cameo is, if you think about it, that is the only cameo Iโve done that had two scenes. It was more than a cameo. It was almost like a role in the movie! So now Iโm shooting for cameos that have three scenes, four scenes. Eventually I hope to be the co-star.
Sounds like Stan the Man has some goals for his future Marvel appearances. What do you think? A Stan Lee-Cosmo buddy comedy in space?
Of course, Lee recently had a much more integral cameo in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, appearing among a group of Watchers and speaking about what sounded like some of the work heโd been doing for them.
Just two months ago, Lee also made the trip to Atlanta to film four cameos at once. One of them is most likely his cameo in Spider-Man: Homecoming, which weโll see here shortly. After all,ย itโs just not a Marvel movie without a Stan Lee cameo.
Spider-Man: Homecomingย swings into theaters on July 7, 2017. The film features a cast that includes Tom Holland as Peter Parker (Spider-Man), Robert Downey Junior as Tony Stark (Iron Man), Zendaya Coleman as Michelle, Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds, Tony Revolori as โFlashโ Thompson, Laura Harrier as Liz Allan, Marisa Tomei as May Parker, Jon Favreau as Harold โHappyโ Hogan, Michael Keaton as Adrian Toomes (Vulture), Bokeem Woodbine as Herman Schultz (Shocker), and Michael Chernus as Phineas Mason (Tinkerer). Donald Glover and Tyne Daly are also part of the cast in unspecified roles. A sequel is planned for release on July 5, 2019.
