A new featurette for the Star Wars Battlefront II has been released.
The featurette titled “The Story of an Imperial Soldier” takes players inside the development of the game with Lucasfilm creative executive Steve Blank and EA Motive game director Mark Thompson as they pull back the curtain on the single player campaign which will continue to humanize the Empire in new canon.
Star wars Battlefront II follows Iden Versio (Janina Gavankar), the commander of a group of Imperial special forces known as the Inferno Squad. The story picks up with Inferno Squad reeling in the aftermath of the Battle of Endor after Star Wars: Return of the Jedi and takes us all the way up to The First Order’s debut in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Gavankar reunites in the game with her former Arrow co-star Paul Blackthorne who plays Gideon Hask, a member of the squadron.
You can check out the new featurette below.
The single player campaign for Star Wars Battlefront II was co-written by former IGN reporter Mitch Dyer and Walt Williams. You can check out the full details on the games multiplayer experience here.
Star Wars Battlefront II won’t hit game store shelves until November 17, 2017, but you can already pre-order the game for new Kylo Ren and Rey costumes from Star Wars: The Last Jedi plus ability upgrades and more. The Inferno Squad will first be introduced this summer in the new canon novel Inferno Squad which picks up after the Battle of Scarif in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
