Lucasfilm has revealed the poster for Star Wars Celebration 2019, which will be held in Chicago.
This year will be a huge one for Star Wars fans and the excitement cannot be contained as we get a view of the Star Wars Celebration 2019 poster featuring some of the franchise’s most beloved characters. The poster includes both new and original characters from a galaxy far, far away with many being favorites among fans. After many years and introductions to many beloved characters, fans will surely enjoy this poster. You can view the full poster below.
This poster seems to be picturing the battle between the light and the dark side as both sides clash with the dark side being red and the light being blue. As you can see the poster includes the iconic characters from the original trilogy like Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Han Solo, Chewbacca, Darth Vader, The Emperor, R2-D2, Lando Calrissian, Boba Fett, and Yoda. These are the characters that helped shape the galaxy as we know it. Among these characters we also have a look at Count Dooku, Darth Maul, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Queen Amidala, General Griveous, and the characters from the recent trilogy.
For the recent characters we have Rey, Finn, Kylo Ren, and Captain Phasma. Among these characters there is also a stormtrooper next to Kylo Ren that may or may not be the infamous FN-2199 or most commonly known as TR-8R for calling out Finn as a traitor in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. It could be either FN-2199 or the stormtrooper that hit his head while walking into a room in Star Wars Episode IV – A New Hope. We may never know, but it doesn’t stop this poster from amazing fans around the world.
The celebration will be held at Chicago and you can bet there will be people from another galaxy present. The guest list for this event includes Joonas Suotamo, who has been portraying the towering Chewbacca behind the suit in the recent Star Wars films. Along with Joonas we have Sam Witwer, Greg Grunberg, Dave Chapman, Greg Proops, Paul Kasey, Ian McElhinney and Orli Shoshan.
What do you think of this poster? What do you think of the guests? Are you excited for the event? Share your thoughts below!
