Zack Snyder Shares Image Of Ben Affleck’s Batman With Lightsaber For ‘Star Wars’ Day

Zack Snyder has shared an image of Ben Affleck’s Batman with a red double lightsaber in celebration of Star Wars day!

Every year, millions of fans put aside their differences to celebrate May the Fourth, a date informally known as Star Wars day. The day has been filled to the brim with tributes celebrating the franchise’s legacy across all mediums. To celebrate this year’s Star Wars day, Justice League director Zack Snyder to share an awesome tribute for the storied sci-fi franchise. In a tweet, Snyder shared an image of Ben Affleck’s Batman rocking a red double lightsaber, not unlike the one Darth Maul sported in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace and his subsequent appearances.

You can check out Ben Affleck’s Batman with the red lightsaber below.

The image of Ben Affleck’s Batman is from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, minutes before he’s set to launch his attack on Superman. If you take a look at the pillars on the left hand side, you can see that Zack Snyder has slyly put in the Rebel Alliance symbol where the Riddler’s question mark symbol would be. All in all, this is a pretty awesome tribute to one of the most historically and culturally relevant franchises to ever grace the silver screen and Snyder is all the more cooler for shouting them out.
