‘Stranger Things’ Star Millie Bobby Brown Is Ready To Say Goodbye To Netflix Series

Goodbye, Hawkins!

Stranger Things Season 4 Eleven New Life

Fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of the final season of Stranger Things. However, nobody seems more ready than one of the show’s stars, Millie Bobby Brown, who recently revealed the Netflix series is keeping her from telling the stories she’s truly passionate about.

It’s hard to believe Stranger Things is over 7 years old. Netflix’s flagship series has been surprising fans for over half a decade, with its upcoming season gearing up to be its last. While many people are sad to see the show end, Millie Bobby Brown isn’t among them, stating she’s ready to say goodbye to the series to pursue projects she’s more passionate about.

“When you’re ready, you’re like, ‘All right, let’s do this. Let’s tackle this last senior year. Let’s get out of here,’” Brown told Glamour Magazine. “Stranger Things takes up a lot of time to film and it’s preventing me from creating stories that I’m passionate about. So I’m ready to say, ‘Thank you, and goodbye.’”

One could certainly imagine having a centralizing role in a project like Stranger Things would take a lot of time. Netflix seems to make every episode with the budget of a blockbuster movie, which likely prevents Millie Bobby Brown from working on other projects. Hopefully, the actress is able to find closure as the series comes to a close.

Stranger Things are coming to Hawkins…

Both productions are currently on hold due to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike.

Stranger Things was created by Matt and Ross Duffer. The two also executive produce the series alongside Shawn Levy, Dan Cohen, Brian Wright, Cindy Holland, Jessica Mecklenburg, Matt Thunell, Karl Gajdusek, Iain Paterson and Curtis Gwinn.
