New ‘Stranger Things’ Teaser Sets Third Season’s Date

Stranger Things

In a recent upload, Netflix shared their first teaser for the third season of Stranger Things which confirmed the release year and which it takes place in.

The video in question sadly does not give us a whole lot to work with. It shows the now iconic Stranger Things logo with a large “3” in the background that slowly comes into video as the trailer goes on. More interesting, however, are a number captions that frequently appear. These include the sentences like “Suzie, do you copy?” and other vague words like “Mallrats”.

In addition, it also contains a number other captions that almost appear to be movie titles like “The Case Of the Missing Life Guard” and “The Sauna Test”. Even more, it contains other things that almost appear to be episode names like “The Birthday” or “The Bite”. Unfortunately, the trailer does not give us any information as to what these words may mean.

More interesting, however, is that the trailer does confirm the year that the show will take place. According to one of the final captions, the show will take place in 1985.  It also confirmed that the show would be released sometime in 2019. It did not, however, give any definitive hints as to what the plot of this latest season will be about.
