Superman may be in for some major trouble in the DC Universe! An activity book for the upcoming film gives fans a fresh look at the project’s mystery villain.
Superman has a lot of unanswered questions. However, chief among them is the identity of the villain in black with a large “U” on his chest. The internet is flooded with ideas (or, rather, flooded with a single idea that everyone thinks is correct). However, there has yet to be a truly official look at the DC Universe’s first super villain, aside from a handful of frames in the trailers.
Shockingly, the first “official” look fans are getting of this villain comes from a children’s activity book for Superman. While it matches set photos taken during production of the DC Universe film, the hue of the suit is a tad more purple than any other look snapped beforehand. While it’s possible this is just a trick of the lighting, it could also reveal the true origin of this mysterious villain.

Who Is The Villain For Superman?
The key to this villain conspiracy was the recent BTS footage released for Superman. In it, fans saw a little grey man seemingly under the control of Lex Luthor. Many believe this to be a white martian, which would be used to shapeshift into Superman and ruin his reputation. However, there is one comic book character that would fulfill this role and explain the character’s new purple hue: Parasite.
wait could this be a white martian in superman? pic.twitter.com/ofb1kN8oPP

The idea is that this image is showing fans a depowered version of Parasite, bereft of any super powers to suck. During the course of the film, Lex Luthor would somehow give it access to Superman, allowing it to absorb the hero’s powers. When the two fight in the climax, the villain would be able to absorb more and more of his abilities, with the purple energy leaking through the black suit to make it more like the purple on the activity book.
Superman is currently scheduled to hit theaters on July 11, 2025. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the DC Universe and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
