The upcoming She-Hulk Disney Plus series has found its lead in Perry Mason and Orphan Black star Tatiana Maslany.

Last year, Marvel officially announced that a new She-Hulk series was in development for Disney’s then-upcoming streaming service, Disney Plus. Since then, the majority of news we have received on the upcoming series has mostly been rumors and speculation. Hulk actor Mark Ruffalo has previously stated that an appearance in the series was on the table but things really only just started heating up with the announcement that the series had added Kat Coiro to helm the series pilot as well as executive produce the series. But now we finally know who will portray Jennifer Walters.

According to a new report from Deadline, She-Hulk will be played by Tatiana Maslany. Maslany is perhaps best known for her roles in shows like Orphan Black and HBO’s new Perry Mason series. It is currently unknown when the series will begin production.

What do you all think of this casting? Do you think Tatiana Maslany will make a good She-Hulk? Let us know what you think in the comments below!

In the comics, She-Hulk is the alter-ego of Jennifer Walters, a private attorney and the cousin of Bruce Banner. After being shot, Jennifer Walters receives a blood transfusion from Bruce who was the only viable donor. The transfusion had the unintended side effect of transforming her into the gamma-powered She-Hulk. However, unlike most incarnations of Bruce Banner’s Hulk, Jennifer Walters retains her sharp wit and emotional control in her She-Hulk form, which later becomes permanent.

Marvel Studios’ upcoming slate of films includes Black Widow, The Eternals, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and Thor: Love and Thunder. In addition to the aforementioned feature films, Marvel Studios is developing several shows for Disney Plus, including The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, WandaVision, Loki, What If…?, Hawkeye, Ms. Marvel, Moon Knight, and She-Hulk.

She-Hulk is currently slated for a 2022 release on Disney Plus. Stay tuned for all the latest news on the upcoming She-Hulk series for Disney Plus and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
