The Batman director Matt Reeves has shifted his overall deal with Disney’s 20th TV to Warner Bros. TV.

Matt Reeves and his production company 6th and Idaho will be creating and developing new projects for the studio according to Variety. The deal will see The Batman director and his production company penning projects for various platforms, including the studio’s newly launched and flagship streaming HBO Max. The deal with Warner Bros. is the first for the production company. Seeing as Reeves is currently working on The Batman for the prolific studio, this deal shift seems to have come at the perfect time. Reeves and his production company won’t be developing other films for Warner Bros. though, as he’s signed a deal with Netflix to produce and create motion pictures.

Matt Reeves’ 6th and Idaho production company currently has television projects that aren’t in conjunction with this overall deal with Warner Bros. TV. Away, one of their most exciting projects is set up with Universal TV and is set to air on Netflix.  Away is a space drama series that stars the Oscar-winning Hilary Swank. They’ve also worked with 20th TV for Amazon’s sci-fi series Tales From The Loop.

Matt Reeves is one of the most prolific and sought after creative voice in Hollywood. After blowing away horror and sci-fi fans with Cloverfield, the director went on to finish the Planet of the Apes reboot trilogy for 20th Century Fox. After Ben Affleck stepped away from directing duties, Reeves was brought on board to write and direct The Batman for Warner Bros. With Robert Pattinson now in the role, Reeves’ The Batman is set to be an isolated franchise from the rest of the DC Extended Universe. The Batman is reportedly set to be the first of a brand new trilogy.
