The Boys is a superhero show that’s no stranger to blood, guts and gore. It’s no wonder the show celebrates the end of filming its fourth season with the same violence, with a little class sprinkled in.
Fans have been waiting on the edge of their seat for any news about The Boys following the end of season 3 last July. The finale included everything that makes a fan beg for answers: a character put on ice, a fan-favorite dying, the betrayal of a son, and a plot to kill the Vice President. Despite this, the show has mostly been tight-lipped in the production of its fourth season. That is, until fans were given a brand new look of Anthony Starr as Homelander covered in blood.
Within the next few days, a number of photos have come out from the cast and crew teasing a bloody wrap to The Boys season 4, including from showrunner Eric Kripke. However, in typical Billy Butcher Style, Karl Urban teased that everything was going to be just peachy, with a healthy hint of sarcasm. The full set of photos can be seen below:

The most interesting thing about this set of photos is that Urban is joined by The Walking Dead alum Jeffrey Dean Morgan. While Morgan has been long confirmed to have joined the cast, he’s kept his role close to his chest in every interview he’s given. While this photo doesn’t reveal much, it seems to hint that Morgan’s character will have some form of connectio to Urban’s Butcher. It’s possible Morgan serves as an ally of some sort to the titular Boys. However, knowing Butcher, it’s more likely the photo was taken right before a bloody fight.
Amazon reveals three new additions to The Boys
The Boys season 4 will feature the return of Simon Pegg as Hughie’s father. Amazon has also announced that the series has added Rosemarie Dewitt, Rob Benedict and Elliot Knight. Dewitt is playing Hughie’s mother, but the identities of Benedict and Knight’s The Boys characters are being kept under wraps. Jeffrey Dean Morgan has also been cast in an unknown role.
The third season of The Boys introduced Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy, Homelander’s equally dangerous biological father, and saw Karl Urban’s Billy Butcher and Jack Quaid’s Hughie starting to use Temp-V, a variant of Compound V that grants the user temporary superpowers.
Developed by Eric Kripke, The Boys stars Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capon, Karen Fukuhara, Nathan Mitchell, Colby Minifie, Jensen Ackles and Paul Reiser.
