The Boys is getting ready for a culling! Showrunner Eric Kripke teases that some major deaths may be on their way heading into season 5 of the iconic series.
For as bloody of a reputation as The Boys has, the series hasn’t had too many major deaths. Only one core member of The Seven has died following the first episode of the show, and none of the eponymous Boys have met their demise. This has left many wondering if the show will continue to remain as toothless with its principal cast leading into season 5.
Luckily, it seems as though the kiddie gloves are officially coming off. The Boys showrunner Eric Kripke recently spoke on what fans can expect from season 5 in an interview with Deadline. Kripke explained that fans shouldn’t expect to go quietly into the night, even when it comes to some of the most beloved members of the main cast.
“There will probably be lots of deaths,” The creator remarked before adding “There’s no guarantee of who’s gonna survive.”
Who Will Die In The Boys Season 5?
There are three characters all-but-guaranteed to die by the end of The Boys season 5. The first is Homelander, who was killed in the final issue in the comics (well, kinda. Those who know, know). Next is Butcher, who is slowly being consumed by V and his quest for vengeance, likely dying of organ failure after killing Homelander. The final one is The Deep, who fans have been expecting to get the axe for quite some time now.
As for other high-profile deaths, it’s possible that Frenchie will meet his end in The Boys following a quest for redemption in his own eyes. It’s also possible that A-Train sacrifices himself in season 5 to save Huey, especially given how much season 4 built him up as trying to turn a new leaf. But beyond that, almost everyone seems to be fair game in the eyes of Eric Kripke.
