Galactus is on his way to the MCU! New merch for The Fantastic Four: First Steps gives fans their best (though perhaps not GOOD) look at the film’s villain.
Unlike most MCU films, Marvel is holding back as much as they can about The Fantastic Four: First Steps. It’s only now, less than three months from release, that fans got their first look at the Silver Surfer. The main villain, Galactus, has been relegated to a handful of teases without direct shots of his costume, leaving many wondering exactly what the character will look like on the silver screen.
Yet dread it, run from it, destiny still arrives. That destiny, of course, being merch spoiling key details about an MCU or DC Universe film. In this particular case, fans get better looks at the entire cast of The Fantastic Four: First Steps. And in the very, very blurry background of one t-shirt, fans can see the comic-accurate design of Galactus, the villain posing just behind the main cast.

Is Galactus The Villain Of The Fantastic Four?
Despite fans knowing for almost as long as the movie has been revealed that Galactus would be the main villain, it’s not exactly clear what his main role will be in The Fantastic Four: First Steps. It’s unlikely that the MCU would replicate the recipe of the 2000s series, with Galactus only serving as a looming threat and the Silver Surfer being the main antagonist.
Rather, it’s likely that Galactus will physically intervene on Earth at some point halfway through the film. From there, it’s likely The Fantastic Four: First Steps will delve into plot points that fans don’t even have an idea to expect at this point, likely culminating in the villain bringing the titular team into the MCU proper.
