The Flash concept artist Andy Poon has revealed an updated design for Ezra Miller’s version of the Scarlet Speedster.

After years of behind-the scenes-drama, Ezra Miller’s The Flash movie is finally happening. The film has seen several director replacements, script rewrites and has constantly been pushed back as a result. But now a new director has signed on for the film and it seems like Ezra Miller’s The Flash may finally see the light of day.

More recently, Ezra Miller’s The Flash shocked everyone when he made an appearance in the Arrowverse crossover event Crisis on Infinite Earths. His scene was relatively brief but it none the less cemented the idea that the DC Extended Universe was in the same multiverse as the DC Comics shows on The CW. After his cameo, The Flash concept artist Andy Poon released an updated concept image for Ezra Miller’s Fastest Man Alive that gives the character a more streamlined look. You can check out the artwork featuring Ezra Miller’s The Flash below.

Since Ezra Miller’s standalone The Flash film was first announced, the project has experienced numerous setbacks. After two separate directors departed over creative differences, John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein were tapped to helm The Flash before exiting themselves following creative conflicts with Ezra Miller over the tone of the film.

IT director Andy Mushcietti has signed on to direct Ezra Miller’s The Flash from a script penned by Birds of Prey writer Christina Hodson. The movie is currently scheduled to be released in theaters on July 1, 2022.
