Police body cam footage of The Flash star Ezra Miller getting arrested in March has hit the web.
In the last two months, Ezra Miller has been the subject of numerous headlines regarding their legal troubles in Hawaii. The actor, who is set to reprise their role as Barry Allen in The Flash was arrested on March 28, 2022 for disorderly conduct in a karaoke bar. Now, police body cam footage has hit the web, showing the actor’s arrest, and adds further context to the story.
In the video from TMZ that made the rounds on the internet earlier this week, we see Ezra Miller being taken into custody as they allege that they were assaulted in the karaoke bar by a man that they claim, “declared himself as a Nazi.” The Flash star also claimed that they filmed themself getting assaulted “for NFT crypto art.”
Although the police body cam video making the rounds online featured Ezra Miller’s arrest, extended footage revealed that audio from an unidentified individual whom The Flash star claimed assaulted them was edited out from TMZ’s video.
More light has been shed on Ezra Miller’s situation.
Before their legal issues in Hawaii, Ezra Miller recorded a now-deleted video from their Instagram in which they threatened the Beulaville, North Carolina chapter of the Ku Klux Klan. Given that upon their first arrest in Hawaii, they claimed that a patron at the bar “declared himself a Nazi” and assaulted them, it adds more context to the story than what TMZ initially reported.
Three weeks following their initial arrest for disorderly conduct, Ezra Miller was arrested again on April 19, 2022 for an alleged assault against a 26-year-old woman, who claimed The Flash actor threw a chair at her, which led to a half-inch cut on her forehead.
Ezra Miller has portrayed The Flash since their debut in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. They have since appeared as that character in Suicide Squad, both cuts of Justice League, the Arrowverse’s Crisis On Infinite Earths, and Peacemaker. Amidst their legal issues, Warner Bros. has yet to release a response, but reportedly has no plans to replace them in their role as Barry Allen.
Directed by Andy Muschietti from a script written by Birds of Prey scribe Christina Hodson, The Flash is inspired by the Flashpoint comic book storyline, which followed Barry Allen as he navigated an altered DC Universe. Written by Geoff Johns and penciled by Andy Kuber, Flashpoint radically altered the status of the DC Comics universe and led to the launch of the New 52 titles.
In addition to Ezra Miller, The Flash also features Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck as two separate versions of Batman, Ron Livingston as Henry Allen, Maribel Verdú as Nora Allen, Kiersey Clemons as Iris West, Michael Shannon as General Zod, Antje Traue as Faora-Ul and Sasha Calle as Supergirl. Saoirse-Monica Jackson, Rudy Mancuso, and Luke Brandon Field are also on board in undisclosed roles.
The Flash opens on June 23, 2023. Stay tuned for all the latest news regarding Ezra Miler’s future in the DC Extended Universe, and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
