The Last of Us keeps raising the stakes! Set photos from the production of season 2 shows off Isabela Merced’s Dina and Bella Ramsey’s Ellie ready for a fight.
It’s understandable to not realize that The Last of Us currently back in production. In fact, filming for season 2 has been happening since at least May of this year. The cast and crew have been keeping a relatively tight lid on leaks. However, this newest batch of set photos may suggest a big action set piece is coming to Vancouver, with Isabela Merced’s Dina and Bella Ramsey’s Ellie ready to brawl.
It’s good to see that Bella Ramsey and Isabela Merced will be sharing some screentime in season 2. The relationship between Dina and Ellie sits at the very core of The Last of Us sequel, so it’s imperative that the show gets it right. While not much can be gleamed from these set photos, it certainly seems the crew is sticking as true as they can to the games. For better or for worse.
When Do The Last Of Us Set Photos Take Place?
While at first these set photos seem to only show off new looks at Isabela Merced as Dina and Bella Ramsey as Ellie, they may also reveal at what point of the game this scene takes place. Judging by some wall art and certain cast members scene around set, it appears The Last of Us season 2 will be taking their fans to Seattle to fight The Seraphites.
The Serpahites are one of the many groups central to the story of The Last of Us sequel, finding themselves at odds with both Ellie and Dina, as well as the Washington Liberation Front. It’s likely season 2 will bring Isabela Merced and Bella Ramsey to blows with this group not long after the death of Joel, played by Pedro Pascal, an event many fans were hoping might be postponed until the end of this chunk of episodes.
