Could Sofia Falcone and Catwoman be the perfect team? Cristin Milioti speaks on her character’s future following the finale of The Penguin.
READERS BEWARE! Spoilers ahead for the season finale of The Penguin and potential spoilers for The Batman sequel.
Ever since Sofia Falcone made her debut in The Penguin, fans have been begging for her to cross paths with Catwoman. While that sadly never came to pass, their meeting was teased in the final moments of the finale, with Sofia receiving a letter from Selina revealing herself as her half-sister. While this far from confirms the character’s return in The Batman Part II, Cristin Milioti has hope that she’ll be able to tear up the streets of Gotham with its most infamous cat burglar.
“I mean, it’s my wildest hope that I get to revisit her, because I’ve loved this role so immensely,” Milioti explained to The Direct in a recent chat. “It’s like, one of my favorite things I’ve ever gotten to do, and I’m just obsessed with her. And I think if [Sofia and Selina Kyle] were united, we would just really tear shit up. I don’t know how to say it… We would just like, burn it down. You know what I mean? In a fun way. I think we’d have a lot of fun.”
Given both Cristin Milioti and fans are so gung-ho about Sofia Falcone and Catwoman meeting following the finale of The Penguin, it’s more likely than not that the duo shares some form of screen time in the future. However, it seems not everyone is on the same page about where Sofia’s allegiances will lie.
Will Sofia Falcone Turn On Catwoman?
Given Sofia Falcone’s connections to organized crime, many assumed that any confrontation in The Batman Part II could lead to her facing off against Batman and Catwoman, potentially burying her hatchet with The Penguin to destroy them once and for all. Yet when asked about this possibility, Cristin Milioti had a different perspective, suggesting that Sofia would team up with Selina to destroy the others first.
“I think I would team up with Selena against all of them, yeah?” Milioti continued when speaking to the outlet. “Like, I think we can handle it.”
It’s good to hear that Cristin Milioti wouldn’t want Sofia Falcone to turn on her half-sister. The character have a rocky at best relationship in the original comics, so The Batman Part II provides a unique chance to give Catwoman a true sense of family on the silver screen. Then again, given the finale of The Penguin is setting up one of the most infamous storylines in all of DC comics, their meeting may not be as amicable as anyone may have hoped.
