‘Thor: Love And Thunder’ Merch Teases New Asgard As Tourist Spot

Would you want to visit New Asgard?

Thor Love and Thunder New Asgard

Merchandise for Thor: Love and Thunder teases New Asgard as a tourist destination.

Following the events of Thor: Ragnarok, Asgard as we know it has been destroyed, leading to the surviving Asgardians finding refuge on Earth in “New Asgard.” At the end of Avengers: Endgame, Thor (Chris Hemsworth) appoints Valkyrie as ruler, which is a significantly smaller new village that at least on the surface, does not hold a candle to the grandness of the original.

A new piece of merchandise for Thor: Love and Thunder gives us a sense at what to expect from New Asgard in the film. In particular, this piece of merchandise is a mug that looks like one that could be purchased in a gift shop, showcasing tours that are offered for guests that get to visit the new home for the Asgardian refugees. This mug, which will be available to purchase on Entertainment Earth next month, is pictured down below:

Although a trailer for Thor: Love and Thunder has yet to drop, fans will likely get their first glimpse very soon, just in time before the highly-anticipated Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness opens in theaters in a few weeks. After all, it seems like Marvel Studios is making sure they exercise as much marketing as they can for their next big tentpole before jumping onto the next. Either way, audiences will eventually jump from the Multiverse of Madness into New Asgard within two months of each film’s release.

Directed by Taika Waititi from a script he co-wrote with Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, Thor: Love and Thunder stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tessa Thompson, Christian Bale, Jaimie Alexander, Chris Pratt, Pom Klementieff, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Sean Gunn, and Jeff Goldblum. Matt Damon, Sam Neill, Luke Hemsworth, Melissa McCarthy, Ben Falcone, and Russell Crowe are also on board.

Thor: Love and Thunder is set to be released on July 8, 2022. Stay tuned for all the latest news on the Thor sequel leading up to its release, and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
