Yelena Belova has a whole new look in Thunderbolts! Marvel unveiled their first look at Florence Pugh in their upcoming film at D23.
D23 is an exciting time for Marvel fans. While most of the big movie news was released at SDCC, the studio still has a couple of tricks up their sleeve when it comes to their slate of projects. Most of the focus appars to be on Disney Plus offerings, but a sizzle reel for the event showed off a new look at Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova.
Florence Pugh is rocking a new, much shorter haircut as Yelena Belova in Thunderbolts. Of course, this doesn’t give much information about Marvel’s most controversial project on their 2025 slate. However, it does show that the film is evolving beyond the characters that fans have grown to love in prior projects, giving them a twist for thie new environment.
Thunderbolts Gets A New Release Date
The recent Hollywood strikes caused some major disruptions for big studios, with dozens of titles being delayed up through 2026. While many thought the delays ended with the conclusion of the strike, it seems Marvel still has a few changes to their schedule. Specifically, Thunderbolts has been moved forward to debut May 2, 2025 with The Fantastic Four taking its spot on July 25, 2025.
These new release dates shouldn’t come as a surprise to Marvel fans given Thunderbolts was already gearing up to film prior to the strike, whereas the cast of The Fantastic Four has only just been announced. Though regardless of the reasoning, it’s certain fans of the first family are bummed they still need to wait over a year to see their favorite heroes on the big screen.
