While Tom Hardy and Tom Holland finally collide in Spider-Man 4? The Venom star addresses the possibility of making a cameo in the MCU.
With the Venom franchise finally coming to a close after nearly a decade, fans are disappointed that Tom Holland and Tom Hardy never got to face-off on the silver screen. Rumors have been flowing about a potential eleventh hour cameo for Spider-Man in Venom: The Last Dance, potentially setting the groundwork for the two to team up to face off against Knull in Spider-Man 4.
This rumor stems from the fact that the director of Venom: The Last Dance teased that the film was only the start for Knull’s journey. Given that Tom Hardy is officially laying down the Venom symbiote after this film, many assumed that this meant the character is being set up as a main antagonist for a future film starring Tom Holland, potentially even Spider-Man 4. And given how integral Eddie Brock is to the King in Black story, it would only make sense that Hardy would return to at least make a cameo in that storyline.
Will Venom Be In Spider-Man 4?
Tom Hardy has been asked a lot about if Tom Holland would be making a cameo in Venom: The Last Dance. However, recently an interviewer flipped things on their head by asking the Venom star if there was any chance for him to appear in Spider-Man 4. Hardy shared an expectantly coy response, pointing out that he can’t act in a film if he doesn’t have a script for it in his hands.
“I don’t see him in the next Spider-Man movie because I’d have the script,” Hardy pointed out during a red carpet interview with AP Entertainment. “And I don’t have that.”
Obviously, Tom Hardy wouldn’t be able to confirm one way or another whether he makes a cameo in Spider-Man 4. However, given the circumstances of Knull and the fact that Hardy has yet to deny that he’ll ever share the screen with Tom Holland suggests there may be more plans for Venom than fans have been lead to believe. Though with the project starting to film next year, it’s only a matter of time until the truth finally comes out.
