After posting the teaser, the Venom star posted a picture of the titular character eating Spider-Man. Soon after, the image of Spider-Man being eaten was removed from Hardy’s profile, leading many fans to speculate that the image featured and was directed to Tom Holland, the MCU’s Spider-Man.

Tom Holland’s Spider-Man being included in Sony’s Spider-Man universe has been quite the contentious topic. The character was teased in the trailer for Sony’s Morbius, which is technically in the same universe as Tom Hardy’s Venom. It has also been previously implied that Holland’s Spider-Man would appear in future Venom films, but nothing has truly been revealed at this moment.
It’s quite odd that Tom Hardy would post a picture of Venom eating Spider-Man, especially considering the sequel’s main villain is Woody Harrelson’s Carnage. The picture being deleted by the star makes the entire ordeal all the more intriguing. Only time will tell what this image is alluding to and if Tom Holland’s Spider-Man will be appearing in Venom: Let There Be Carnage.
