Tom Holland broke his silence on Charlie Cox’s return as Matt Murdock in Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Tom Holland’s Spider-Man: No Way Home features plenty of surprises. Not only did we get to enjoy the return of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield as their versions of Spider-Man, but the film also notably contained a brief scene with Charlie Cox reprising his role as Matt Murdock from Netflix’s beloved Daredevil series.
Charlie Cox’s return as Matt Murdock came on the same week Vincent D’Onofrio reappeared as Kingpin on Hawkeye. In Spider-Man: No Way Home, Cox’s Murdock helps out Peter Parker with his legal trouble and shows off his Daredevil abilities in the process. Tom Holland talked with Marvel.com about Cox’s scene in the film:
“We had so much fun working with Charlie. It’s really interesting doing a scene between two Super Heroes that has no real Super Hero stuff in it. Apart from the bit when he catches the brick. It was awesome.”
Here is the synopsis for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man: No Way Home:
“For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero’s identity is revealed, bringing his Super Hero responsibilities into conflict with his normal life and putting those he cares about most at risk. When he enlists Doctor Strange’s help to restore his secret, the spell tears a hole in their world, releasing the most powerful villains who’ve ever fought a Spider-Man in any universe. Now, Peter will have to overcome his greatest challenge yet, which will not only forever alter his own future but the future of the Multiverse.”
Directed by Jon Watts from a script written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, No Way Home stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Tony Revolori, Martin Starr, J.B. Smoove, Marisa Tomei, Jon Favreau, Benedict Wong, Benedict Cumberbatch, Willem Dafoe, Alfred Molina, and Jamie Foxx, Thomas Haden Church, Rhys Ifans, Charlie Cox, with Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield.
