Top Gun Maverick Miles Teller

Production on Paramount Pictures’ upcoming sequel Top Gun: Maverick starring Tom Cruise reprising his role from the 1986 film is well underway, and actor Miles Teller will also be featured as Bradley Bradshaw, the son of the Anthony Edwards character Nick “Goose” Bradshaw, who died in the original film.

Teller is currently filming with Cruise on the highly-anticipated sequel, and recent photos featuring the actor showing off a new physique have surfaced online. You can get a sense at how Teller’s character will look like at least from a physical presence down below.

This isn’t the first time Teller has put on a lot of muscle for the role. He previously underwent some major physical training for his role as Vinny Pazienza in the boxing drama, Bleed For This. Teller has also ventured into the superhero genre as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic in Joshua Trank’s ill-fated Fantastic Four reboot alongside Michael B. Jordan, Kate Mara and Jamie Bell.

Details on the upcoming film are still hard to come by but we do know that the film will, in part, focus on the first film’s protagonist, Maverick, (Tom Cruise), teaching a new generation of pilots. Val Kilmer is set to reprise his role as Tom “Iceman” Kazansky from the first film as well. The film’s cast also includes Jennifer Connelly as a woman who runs a local Navy bar and Miles Teller as the son of Top Gun supporting character Goose who sadly died in the first film. In addition, Ed Harris and Jon Hamm have been cast as well in unspecified roles. The film is being directed by Tron: Legacy director Joseph Kosinski.

Top Gun: Maverick is set to be released on June 26, 2020.
