‘Venom: The Last Dance’ Runtime Rumor Reveals Surprising Length For Marvel Sequel

Can you handle this much Venom?

Venom 3

Is Venom: The Last Dance overstaying its welcome? A new rumor for Marvel’s upcoming sequel reveals a surprising runtime when compared to its contemporaries.

Fans could barely handle 19 inches of Venom when Marvel’s Spider-Man PS5 sequel first announced its collector’s edition. Are they going to be able to handle nearly two hours of Venom? A new rumor suggests Venom: The Last Dance is eyeing a runtime of around 140 minutes, or 2 hours 20 minutes.

This would make Venom: The Last Dance the longest of Marvel’s collaborations with Sony Pictures, with the second-place crown for runtime going to Madame Web at 116 minutes. The shortest was actually the franchise’s first sequel in Venom: Let There Be Carnage at a brisk 97 minutes.

Venom’s Confusing Ties To Marvel

Venom: The Last Dance isn’t just shaping up to be the Sony film with the longest runtime. It’s also likely its most confusing. The first trailer for the Marvel sequel set the internet into a storm, as it seemed to retcon the post-credits scene of the last Spider-Man film to take place in a different universe.

The project is also set to feature Rhys Ifans, likely reprising his role as the Spider-Man villain The Lizard. It’s unclear if this means Venom: The Last Dance will be taking place in Marvel’s The Amazing Spider-Man universe. However, knowing Sony and their track record, it’s likely they don’t know either.

Venom: The Last Dance hits theaters on October 25, 2024.  Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the Sony Universe of Marvel Characters and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
