IGN has released new Venom clip featuring Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock as he unleashes his new power during an ambush in his apartment.
Venom will mark Sony’s second attempt at bringing the Marvel anti-hero to the big screen and now a new clip offers fans a preview of just how powerful this version of the character can be when tested. In the clip, Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock is ambushed in his own apartment by thugs seeking to take back Mr. Drake’s “property.” When they threaten to take down Brock, the symbiote unleashes its power against the goons and even proposes biting off their heads once they have all been subdued.

Venom follows Eddie Brock as he attempts to revive his journalism career by investigating the Life Foundation only to come into with an alien symbiote that bonds with him, granting him powers and transforming him into the titular anti-hero.
Directed by Ruben Fleischer from a script by Jeff Pinkner & Scott Rosenberg and Kelly Marcel, Venom stars Tom Hardy, Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed, Scott Haze, Reid Scott, Jenny Slate, Ron Cephas Jones, and Woody Harrelson.
Venom will be released in theaters on October 5, 2018.
