Something strange is returning to Westview. A new report reveals that two WandaVision writers will return to write for the upcoming spin-off series Vision Quest
The Writers Guild of America reveals that WandaVision staff writer Megan McDonnell and executive story editor Peter Cameron will be returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe for Vision Quest. While Cameron has continued to work with Marvel on three episodes of Moon Knight and the teleplay for Werewolf By Night, this will be McDonnell’s first time writing for Marvel since WandaVision and only her second time writing on any project.
The report also reveals that Jac Schaeffer, creator and head writer of WandaVision and Agatha: Coven of Chaos, will be returning as head writer and executive producer of Vision Quest. Plot details are being kept under wraps and there is currently no release date slated for the series.
Marvel’s Vision Quest
The folks at GiantFreakingRobot were the first to say that Vision is getting a television series back in 2021, following the final episode of the Disney Plus series WandaVision. Developed by Matt Shakman, WandaVision followed Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff and Paul Bettany’s Vision living in an imaginary town known as Westview. It ended with the creation of White Vision, with his fate being one of the show’s unresolved plot threads.
While Paul Bettany’s Vision has been missing for more than a year now, Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff was featured in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which was released this past May. The movie earned $955.7 million at the worldwide box office, making it one of the highest-grossing features of the year.
