‘What If…?’ Unwraps New Avengers In Season 2 TV Spot

Happy Ho-Ho-Hogan!

What If Season 2 Marvel The Watcher

Disney Plus is ringing in the return of What If…? with a brand new TV spot. The footage teases brand new Avengers coming in season 2, along with a recreation of one of the MCU’s most iconic scenes.

The newest TV spot for What If…? season 2 is filled with holiday cheer. With the first episode dropping tomorrow on Disney Plus, fans get their first look at a bevy of episodes and characters, including Happy Hogan’s Die Hard homage, the Wasp as a founding member of the Avengers, and the return of Strange Supreme.

Perhaps the most interesting part of this TV spot is Kahhori, an original character created for What If…? season 2, catching Captain Carter’s shield in what appears to be a recreation of Avengers: Age of Ultron‘s opening forest scene. It’s unclear what this means for the character, but all will certainly come clear in the next few days when the episode drops on Disney Plus!

A Multiverse of Possibilities

What If…? features the voices of Josh Brolin, Natalie Portman, Samuel L. Jackson, Jeremy Renner, Paul Rudd, Mark Ruffalo, Jeffrey Wright, Hayley Atwell and other major stars from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The series “flips the script on the MCU, reimagining famous events from the films in unexpected ways,” according to Marvel’s official description of the series.

In addition to the second season of What If…?, Marvel is also working on two more animated series — Marvel Zombies and Spider-Man: Freshman Year. The former is a direct spin-off of What If…? episode five, which revolves around a Marvel Cinematic Universe that suffers from a zombie plague.

All episodes of the first season of What If…? are now available to stream on Disney Plus. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
