New Wonder Woman 1984 photos offer the latest look at Kristen Wiig’s Cheetah and Pedro Pascal’s Maxwell Lord.
In the first Wonder Woman film, Diana Prince found herself coming into conflict with the Greek God of War, Ares. When Warner Bros. and DC’s long-awaited sequel arrives in theaters, the iconic heroine will find herself facing two foes, Kristen Wiig’s Cheetah and Pedro Pascal’s Maxwell Lord.
Now, new Wonder Woman 1984 photos include a glimpse at Diana Prince racing towards action. However, an additional image also reveals Kristen Wiig’s Cheetah in an alley filled with graffiti while another sees Maxwell Lord in the White House as he’s being subdued by the Lasso of Truth.

The film is one of the many projects affected by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Originally scheduled to open in theaters in early June, Warner Bros. opted to push the release date to mid-August in hopes that the crisis will have abated by then and movie theaters, which have been forced to shut down, can re-open their doors.
Full details on the Wonder Woman 1984 plot are being kept under wraps, but the film is said to follow Gal Gadot’s Diana Prince as she comes into conflict with a formidable new adversary named Cheetah and businessman Maxwell Lord.
Directed by Patty Jenkins from a script she co-wrote with David Callaham and a treatment she developed with Geoff Johns, Wonder Woman 1984 stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig, Pedro Pascal, Natasha Rothwell, Ravi Patel, Gabriella Wilde, Connie Nielson, and Robin Wright.
Wonder Woman 1984 is currently scheduled to be released in theaters on August 14, 2020.
