Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins has signed on to helm Star Wars: Rogue Squadron for the Disney-owned Lucasfilm.
Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy revealed that Patty Jenkins is set to direct a Star Wars feature titled Rogue Squadron during Disney’s 2020 Investor Day. Rogue Squadron is scheduled to hit theaters Christmas 2023.

In addition to Star Wars: Rogue Squadron, Kathleen Kennedy revealed that Lucasfilm is also developing a slew of Star Wars series for the Disney Plus streaming service, including projects focusing on Rosario Dawson’s Ahsoka Tano and pop culture icon Lando Calrissian, played by Billy Dee Williams and Donald Glover.
Patty Jenkins recently wrapped Wonder Woman 1984, which is set to hit theaters and HBO Max on Christmas Day of this year. She is expect to direct the third installment in the Wonder Woman series and is also attached to a live-action Cleopatra feature starring Gal Gadot for Paramount Pictures.
