Who will be the REAL villain of the X-Men reboot? A rumor suggests that one of the team’s most iconic rogues may make their silver screen debut in the MCU.
While most X-Men fans have been focused on the original 2000s cast finally appearing in the MCU with Avengers: Doomsday, it’s far from the only project being developed about the beloved mutant team. In fact, an official reboot film for the team has been in development for several years, with the rumor mill consistently churning out scoops about the project.
The headlines that draw the most attention, obviously, revolve around any rumor about who will play any member of the titular X-Men. However, heroes aren’t the only ones being cast in the reboot. Just like any film, the X-Men need a villain. And there has been a lot of speculation about who their first “big bad” will be once they enter the MCU.
Who Is The Villain Of the MCU’s X-Men Reboot?
That speculation may finally be coming to an end thanks to the latest rumor from DanielRPK. According to the insider, the main villain of the MCU’s X-Men reboot will be none other than Mister Sinister himself. The villain is a fan-favorite among those who read the comics, and remains perhaps the team’s biggest villain that has yet to be adapted to the silver screen.
Currently, the rumor doesn’t state an actor attached to the role of Mister Sinister. However, Jon Hamm has long championed himself as the perfect fit for the MCU’s most evil geneticist.
