Could Your Friendly Neighborhood-Spider-Man be a smash hit? The Disney Plus series has released a new trailer and poster ahead of its release date.
Fans have been skeptical about Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man ever since it was announced. The series was originally pitched as an origin story for the MCU’s Peter Parker, before slowly morphing into an Elseworlds story exclusive to Disney Plus. It didn’t help that Marvel played things close to the chest, keeping its trailer locked up tight in the vault.
Yet with the release date now barely a month away, promotion for Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man is finally ramping up. This includes the first trailer for the series, which shows off a modern reinvention of the iconic character. The Disney Plus version of the character seems to take inspiration from Amazing Spider-Man #61, which turned Peter Parker into a live-streamer. While a controversial take, it seems MCU fans are reacting relatively positive to the trailer.
When Does Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Come Out?
Along with its first trailer, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man dropped a brand new poster. This features a number of characters key to the series, including Flash Thompson, Nico Minoru, and Harry Osborn. A release date is also shown on the bottom of the image, with the project swinging onto Disney Plus next month on January 29th, with new episodes releasing weekly .

Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man is also set to bring a number of iconic villains back to the small screen. The Disney Plus series is set to feature variations of Rhino, Speed Demon, Chameleon, Scorpion, Butane the Pyromaniac, Tarantula. Colman Domingo also makes his MCU debut as Norman Osborn, though it’s currently unclear if his character will transform into the Green Goblin during the 10 episode project.
