Justice League director Zack Snyder has shared a brand new look at Ben Affleck’s Knightmare Batman on Twitter.
While Ben Affleck won’t be returning to the role of Batman, we still have his impressive performance in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice to look back onto. One of the coolest moments in the film that showed off Affleck’s towering character and menacing looks has to be the Knigthmare sequence. Set in Bruce Wayne’s dreams, Zack Snyder’s Knightmare Batman appears in post-apocalyptic world where Superman has taken over the world as a puppet of Darkseid. Though the Knightmare Batman had minimal screen time, the iteration of the character emerged as a fan favorite thanks to its look and energy.

The image seems to be taken just before the character is about to emerge in battle. The Ultimate Edition of the film features a half hour of brand new footage, which delves deeper into the film’s many side plots, including adding more weight to the Knightmare sequence.
