Man of Steel director Zack Snyder has shared photo from a costume test for Superman actor Henry Cavill.
Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel introduced audiences to a Clark Kent who was a little more scared of his intimidating powers and abilities than other versions, and Henry Cavill’s DC Extended Universe debut saw the young hero going off in exile as a wandering ghost, searching for the meaning behind who he really is. That journey saw him briefly become a crab fisherman at the start of Man of Steel, where he used his strength to save a group of stranded oil-rig workers who were trapped in a fiery inferno.
Zack Snyder recently took to the social media platform Vero to show off a costume test for Henry Cavill’s Superman in his crab fisherman outfit. Cavill himself is obviously briefly emulating Clark Kent’s moody personality from Man of Steel in the photo, since he doesn’t look too happy to be wearing the outfit. Obviously, once the hero got a better grip of his powers, he started to enjoy life a little more. It’ll be interesting to see how the star looks in the black Superman suit when Justice League arrives next year. For now, take a look at Henry Cavill in the Superman costume test below.
