Zack Snyder has announced a watch party for Man of Steel starring Henry Cavill live on Vero this Wednesday at 8 a.m. PST.

The director made the announcement earlier today on Twitter. The watch party will feature live commentary from Snyder for the film, which kicked off the DC Extended Universe back in 2013. The film, which featured a darker take on the DC Comics superhero, garnered much praise for Cavill’s performance as the character, in addition to managing a total of $668 million at the worldwide box office.

Snyder recently held a watch party for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in which he revealed details about his original plans for the DCEU, including when he thought Gal Gadot’s solo Wonder Woman film should have taken place. In addition, the director also took the opportunity to throw a bit of shade at his Justice League film.

A new report from Heroic Hollywood recently revealed that the Snyder cut of Justice League may end up being released after all. Prior to the Coronavirus pandemic sweeping the world, Snyder held a private screening of his cut of Justice League for DC executives. However, whether or not Warner Bros. plans to release his cut of the film remains a mystery. A watch party for Man of Steel could be the perfect chance for Snyder to respond to the report.
