No matter what one personally things of Zack Snyder or his take on the DC Universe, the journey of the Snyder Cut is one of the most interesting in modern cinema. A director removed from a project following a personal tragedy and studio politics. A film destined to stay unfinished following being locked in the studio vault. However, in some confluence of fate and determination from fans, true justice was restored by Snyder being able to finish his cut of Justice League and release it to general audiences.
This was four years ago, with the start of the journey happening nearly a decade ago. The DC Universe, and the cinema landscape in general, has changed drastically since then. With more and more projects seeming to be written off everyday, it truly seems as though the journey of the Snyder Cut is one that can never be replicated. This fact doesn’t seem to be lost on Zack Snyder himself, who recently posted at how humbled he is that his Justice League cut has officially seen the light of day.

Will Zack Snyder Return To The DC Universe?
For as many passionate fans as there are of the Snyder Cut of Justice League, there are just as many, if not more, that didn’t jive with the director’s vision for the DC Universe. But with a revival for the franchise just over the horizon, some fans have been wondering if Zack Snyder might return to helm a lesser-known project for the studio, allowing him to keep his style without dividing fans once more. This speculation was inflamed by a recent photo of Snyder with DC Studios co-chair and longtime collaborator James Gunn.

While James Gunn has said the photo was just him catching up with an old friend, that hasn’t stopped fans thinking that Zack Snyder already has a project confirmed for the DC Universe. Many believe that he’d be a perfect fit for a film based on The Authority, especially given the tone of the Justice League Snyder Cut. However, at this time, there’s no confirmation that the director will be helming any project for the franchise.
