A new video from Zack Snyder teases the upcoming inclusion of Martian Manhunter in the director’s cut of Justice League.

Zack Snyder’s Justice League is officially coming to HBO Max in 2021. The premium cablers brand new streaming service will finally see the director’s original intentions and vision for the DC Extended Universe’s team-up flick come to fruition. In a new video released by Snyder, the director provided an emotional response to the #ReleasetheSnyderCut movement, thanking fans for their continued support over the last several years. But what’s managed to catch fans’ eyes is what appears to be the drawing of a storyboard featuring Martian Manhunter in the background.

While the theatrical cut did not feature the character of Martian Manhunter, Snyder previously confirmed that Harry Lennix’s General Swanwick was the DC superhero all along.

Although the character is featured on The CW’s Supergirl, Snyder had originally planned to make Martian Manhunter’s big-screen debut with Justice League in 2017, revealing last fall that Swanwick would have transformed to reveal himself as Martian Manhunter after a scene with Amy Adams’ Lois Lane and Diane Lane’s Martha Kent.

Here’s the official synopsis for Zack Snyder’s Justice League:

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Directed by Zack Snyder, Justice League stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Connie Nielsen, J. K. Simmons, and Ciarán Hinds.

Justice League is now available on Blu-Ray, DVD, and Digital HD. Stay tuned for all the latest news regarding the director’s cut of Justice League and be make sure to check out and subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more content!
