Zack Snyder Teases Young & Old Darkseid For His ‘Justice League’ Cut

Zack Snyder has confirmed the Darkseid featured in the image he shared earlier today is indeed a younger version of the DC villain that will be featured in Justice League‘s history lesson sequence.

In Zack Snyder’s Justice League, fans will finally get to see the original history lesson the director had intended for the film. It’s been almost a year since Snyder originally revealed the first look at Darkseid in his version of Justice League. But earlier today, the director revealed a fully colorized version of the previously released image of Darkseid, giving fans an even better idea for what to expect when his cut reaches HBO Max sometime in 2021. The character was completely removed from the film’s theatrical release, however, the original film was said to feature a Young Darkseid vs Ares, as well as other Greek Gods during the first invasion of Earth.

When responding to a fan’s request to make Darkseid bulkier on Vero, Snyder assured his version of the supervillain, voiced by Ray Porter, is “a baby” in the sequence being teased, hinting that we’ll get to see an older, more comic book accurate version of the character in the film as well.
