Zack Snyder revealed a look at Darkseid in his Justice League cut to tease the film’s arrival on HBO Max.
Fans have been desperate to see Ray Porter’s Darkseid in action ever since director Zack Snyder explained that the villain was originally a part of his Justice League cut. Most recently, the star behind the Lord of Apokolips teased that there was a lot of work that went into the role, but also mentioned that he isn’t sure if he’ll come back to the character for Ava DuVernay’s New Gods. For now, fans will have to settle for this official look at the villain during the film’s flashback sequence.
For now there’s no date set for Justice League‘s release on HBO Max, but this photo Zack Snyder posted of Ray Porter’s Darkseid on Twitter teases the film’s release next year. It shows the villain during his initial assault on the planet as he attempts to turn it into Apokolips. He’s not dressed in his typical outfit, but he’s still wearing a version of his typical headpiece. Darkseid is also wielding an impressive looking weapon, which will no doubt be a part of the stunning fight scenes that one of the actors in the sequence previously discussed.
