Justice League star Ray Fisher reveals how he reacted when he found out about the Snyder Cut’s release on HBO Max.
After the recent news that the Snyder Cut of Justice League will finally see the light of day next year it’s fair to say that fans have been celebrating across social media. But the stars of the film have been equally happy about seeing the director’s true vision of the movie, with Cyborg star Ray Fisher appearing in a conversation with Zack Snyder hosted by Vero to discuss the film’s release. The actor revealed that he was initially doubtful, since the studio could change its mind at the last minute.
“I mean, when you gave me the call, I was like, ‘Okay, yeah, it’s happening, it’s happening.’ But until they put the [announcement] out officially officially, you gotta have your reservations. Anything can happen, it’s 2020. Like they turn around and be like, ‘Yeah, we changed our mind last minute!’ You never know. People are going wild, man. There’s but nothing but love. I woke up this morning, I was like, the Sun feels different, the wind is blowing in the windows a little differently today. This may be the turn around for 2020. People need something to look forward to and hope for.”
After Zack Snyder briefly joined the conversation, Fisher explained that he’s glad the director didn’t reveal his exact reaction, since he used “all the expletives” in their conversation. Ray Fisher has been an outspoken supporter of the Snyder Cut for quite some time, so it must be satisfying for the star to know more of his work from Justice League will finally be seen by fans.
“I was happy he didn’t quote me on all the expletives I said in the conversation. My mom would have been like, ‘There were three pages of The Hollywood Reporter of you just [swearing].’ They didn’t have enough asterisks in the world to express that.”
